Sustainability Ethics. Sustainable Lifestyles.
I hold a double PhD (2014) in political theory and political science from the universities LUISS Guido Carli (Rome) and ULB (Brussels). I am based at the Institute for Sociological Research of the University of Geneva and in the past I have done my research at Boston University, New York University, MIT, University Milan-Bicocca and University of Genoa. I have also worked on practical dimensions of sustainable development politics at the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development and at UNESCO Liaison Office in New York.
I am interested in practical and theoretical aspects of a societal transformation triggered by the global environmental crisis. More specifically, my research concerns values as ethical principles and moral standards guiding humankind in the times of the global environmental degradation. My most recent project explores sustainable consumption and production practices in the area of fashion and apparel. I am looking at the circular economy alternatives to fast fashion.
I am a member of SCORAI and GRF networks and of the Tellus Institute.
I am a founder and coordinator of the Working Group on Sustainable Fashion Consumption: www.sustainablefashionconsumption.org
